So You Think You Can Dance made its debut in summer of 2005 and continues to enjoy notable success in its fifth season. The series invites amateur dancers to audition for a competition. The winner receives a role in a major dance production. Each week, the contestants learn new dances with their partners and perform before three judges to be critiqued and voted on by audience members.

The series can contain some bad language, particularly in the beginning, when there are usually eccentric personalities auditioning. Sexual content is usually limited to some suggestive dancing.

So You Think You Can Dance is not recommended for viewers under age 14.
